2006 - Dr. Yukihiro Ozaki

For his outstanding work in advancing the Art and Science of Near Infrared Spectroscopy, the Council for Near Infrared Spectroscopy (CNIRS) recognizes Dr. Yukihiro Ozaki of the Department of Chemistry of Kwansei Gakuin University, Sanda, Japan for the work of his research group in many different aspects of chemometrics.  The CNIRS and Unity Scientific are pleased to present the second Gerald S. Birth Award to Yukihiro Ozaki. The award was presented at the Award Symposium of the International Diffuse Reflectance Conference, Chambersburg, PA, Wednesday, August 9, 2006.  You can click here for an announcement of the award.

2004 - Dr. Peter R. Griffiths

For his outstanding work in advancing the Art and Science of Near Infrared Spectroscopy, the Council for Near Infrared Spectroscopy (CNIRS) recognizes Dr. Peter R. Griffiths for his work in developing the procedure to calibrate a wavelength standard across the total NIR region more accurately than previously possible.  The CNIRS is pleased to present the first Gerald S. Birth Award to Peter R. Griffiths. The award was presented at the Award Banquet of the International Diffuse Reflectance Conference, Chambersburg, PA, August 12, 2004.  View the announcement of the award here.
