Rooms
Conferees are encouraged to stay in the dormitories of Wilson College. This is in keeping with the spirit of the meeting, in which attendees can live and breath the topics of diffuse reflectance in a comfortable, informal, yet information-rich environment. The biggest advantage to the dormitories, aside from their inexpensiveness, is their proximity to the meeting hall, the dining hall, and any other landmark on campus. After all, this is a small campus, with most attractions being no more than a three minute walk from wherever you are.

College dormitories are dormitories - what more can be said ... Bathrooms are non-private. Rooms are furnished with linens and towels. Men's and women's accommodations are in separate buildings, with a special dormitory for couples (please make note of this when you register).

One potential drawback is the lack of air conditioning in the dorms. August weather in Chambersburg can be quite warm and humid. If you are driving and have extra room in your car, consider packing along a fan.

For those who choose not to stay in the dormitories, Chambersburg has a number of hotels, though nearly all will require a car to get you to the campus. Click here to take you to Wilson College's web page on nearby hotels, inns and bed and breakfast houses.

Meals
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included with full registration (or in combination with registration or room - see expenses). These meals are served in Wilson College's elegant wood-planked and chandeliered dining hall. Conferees enjoy food and conversation in leisure with their peers while seated at large round tables. In addition to the main entree, meals are furnished with cold cereal, toast, bagels, salad, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, milk, juice, and ice cream. Meals begin Sunday evening (earlier for short course registrants) and go through Friday lunch. The Thursday evening banquet is included at no additional cost.
